Cannonier -135 (8600) vs. Gastelum +115 (7500)
Cannonier is the bigger more powerful striker who has spent part of his career at heavyweight and light heavyweight. Looks shredded at middleweight. Cannonier’s game relies on powerful kickboxing. Powerful kicks and deadly overhand right. With that being said, Gastelum has never been TKO or KO in his UFC career. Gastelum has moved up to middleweight because of weight cutting issues and is undersized for the division. Even with the size discrepancy we like the style matchup for Gastelum. We think Gastelum will be the faster fighter of the two with a better gas tank and wrestling in his back pocket if needed. We feel the first 2 rounds will be super competitive and Gastelum could lose these but if he survives we love his chances in taking over the fight in the championship rounds.
